Wednesday in Jazz, a series of lecture-concerts from January to June Protected content , offers a series of events dedicated to the history, protagonists, and languages ​​of jazz.

This event is dedicated to jazz violin, through the pivotal figure of Stéphane Grappelli. His language incorporates the legacy of another great Italian, Joe Venuti, reworked into a personal poetics grounded in elegance, natural lyricism, a profound sense of swing, and a constant chamber music dialogue with other instruments.

From this legacy, the evening will shift to contemporary Italy:

Piergiorgio Farina, a key figure on the Italian scene, capable of combining swing tradition, improvisational energy, and a melodic sensibility with a strong Mediterranean influence.

Luca Ciarla, a symbol of a generation that has expanded the violin's lexicon, integrating languages ​​and techniques with a personal, modern, and open vision.

The evening consists of two parts:

7:00-7:30 PM: Lecture in the form of a musical story by Maestro Angelo Gregorio, saxophonist, composer, and artistic director of the Belgian Italian Jazz Festival and the Venerdì in Jazz series;
7:30-8:15 PM: Trio concert with Julien Gillain (violin), Guillaume Gillain (guitar), and Antoine Maes (double bass).
