The Friendship Crisis-Find and Keep Deep Meaingful Friendships

Friendship is essential for well-being, yet many adults struggle to form and maintain deep connections—especially in a world where life changes, relocations, and busy schedules make it harder to stay close. Women are often seen as needing strong social bonds to thrive, but research shows that men, too, suffer deeply from loneliness.
Inspired by the book The Friendship Crisis, which explores the emotional and psychological impact of friendships and how major life shifts—such as career changes, parenthood, divorce, or moving—can fray even our closest friendships. This event creates a space to discuss the challenges of adult connections. Together, we’ll explore why making friends as an adult is difficult and learn practical strategies for building and sustaining meaningful relationships.
We will touch a few points:
-The Science of Friendship: We will openly discuss why friendships are essential for well-being and how social connections impact both men and women.
-Navigating Life Transitions: Share experiences on how major life changes can strain friendships and explore ways to maintain strong bonds.
-Building Meaningful Connections: Exchange ideas on meeting new people and fostering deep, lasting friendships.
-Overcoming Loneliness: Discuss mindset shifts and habits that help combat social isolation and create a supportive network.
Come share your experiences, gain insights, and maybe even meet a friend who lasts a lifetime!
