Honey Tasting Workshop
Taste the wonder of Honey!
Deep dive into the amazing world of honey. Together we taste different kinds of honey from all over the world as well as honey from the city of Zurich. We learn the characteristics of varietal honey and the wide spectrum of aromas that come from the blossoms of the flowers. You will find out why some honeys become crystallized and some stay liquid, why bees produce this wonderful gold and why we all love it so much.
1. Introduction – How is honey produced
Honey comes from bees, how do they make it and why
How is honey processed
Why do different honeys differ in taste, consistency and colour
2. Honey tasting
Introduction in to sensory tasting, how do we taste honey
We taste different honeys from around the world and find out what their characteristics are
3. We end the evening on a light note with a glass of Prosecco and a round of questions and answers
The workshop will be in English and takes place on November 2nd from 18h30 to 20h30.
Price: 45.- per person
A minimum of 8 participants is required and is limited to 12.
