Museum for Free (If You Live in K)
Hello,
the first Thursday of each months Cologne's museums are free for residents.
This time we visit the renown Protected content
Current temporary exhibitions include among others:
- Along the Color Line – Traces of a Transatlantic Modernism
To mark its 50th anniversary, the Protected content is staging a major interdisciplinary survey exhibition that explores the connections between the art of the international Black diaspora and European modernism. The exhibition features modernist and contemporary works by artists of the Black diaspora through a host of international loans that are presented in dialogue with pieces from the Protected content collection. These works include paintings, sculptures, drawings, literature, and music, highlighting the diversity of artistic expression that served as a platform for cultural exchange and engagement at the beginning of the twentieth century.
- HERE AND NOW - Collecting Memories
from Turtle Island
With the most extensive collection of Pop Art outside North America, the Protected content is known for its links to the United States—a country that will celebrate Protected content of independence in Protected content . This exhibition centers on two contemporary American artists: Marie Watt, and Wendy Red Star.
See you there,
Paolo
