Thirsty Thursday: "Dry January - So What?"
Dear Wine Lovers,
what could be better than uncorking some truly fine, dry red wines during "Dry January" while the weather outside is nasty and grey? This week, "Thirsty Thursday" is dedicated to the most important Spanish red wines.
For a long time, Spain was regarded as a reliable supplier of solid entry-level wines, with only the Rioja and Ribera del Duero regions producing wines of international renown. However, over the last 25 years, a true quality revolution has taken place across all of Spain, surprising even some wine professionals. The best part: Spanish wines still offer an outstanding price-to-enjoyment ratio.
Thirsty Thursday – how does it work? In a relaxed atmosphere, five wines will be presented on a specific theme, and any questions on them will be answered. This could be an exciting winemaker, a special growing region, a specific style, or an unusual grape variety...
In this way you get a glimpse of the most important Spanish red wines, grape varieties, and growing regions.
