Hi all,

The exhibition "Survivors - Faces of Life after the Holocaust", by Martin Schoeller opened this week at the amazing Protected content

Here, 75 striking photographs of 75 Holocaust survivors are presented; a sobering memory of past horrors through strong faces that survived to tell their story.

The famous photographer Martin Schoeller came upon this idea; Protected content for the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz (27.01. Protected content . Yad Vashem, Israel was chosen as the location for the photoshoots — a familiar place for all survivors. The board of the World Holocaust Remembrance Center in Jerusalem quickly agreed to the project, and was given the responsibility of selecting the 75 people to be portrayed. The Holocaust survivors, some of them over 90 years old, already know each other. They visit the remembrance center regularly to share their story with visitors and youth groups from all over the world.

Schoeller's portraits are accompanied by life stories. Entry fees appear to be at one's own discretion.

The exhibition opened this week, so expect sizeable crowds. We will meet at the Protected content

Looking forward,
Anita
