Info about the play:
The idea for Prima Facie first came to Suzie Miller whilst she was still a law student, long before she became a playwright.
But it was only after years of working as a criminal defence lawyer that she had the opportunity to bring the play to life.
The #MeToo movement had reinforced Miller’s desire to stage a feminist examination of the legal system.
Anyone lucky enough to secure one of the coveted tickets for the performances on Broadway or in the West End can experience Miller’s masterful one-woman play in the original English.
The play is now playing for the last at the Düsseldorf Schauspielhaus. Lou Strenger will play the role of Tessa Ensler in Philipp Rosendahl’s production.
