Join us on a bat tour through Benrath Palace Park and discover why urban green spaces in particular provide an ideal habitat for bats.
Come along on an exciting journey into the world of these fascinating and intelligent mammals! During the tour, the following secrets will be revealed:
- Where and how do bats live?
- How many and which species of bat are there in Düsseldorf?
- What and how much do bats eat?
- Why are they so important for our environment and why do they need us humans as allies?
- How do they communicate?
- How do these little flying superheroes find their way in the dark?
Programme:
First, they'll explain some fascinating facts about bats and answer participants’ questions about these nocturnal flying acrobats. As dusk falls, the tour begins through the castle park, where, among other things, the bats’ ultrasonic calls will be made audible using a detector.
