Michael Stephenson Meets the Alexander Claffy Trio
This is what the organizer says: This evening is rooted in the great tradition of 20th-century American popular music—an art form that has given the world soul, jazz, and R&B.
It speaks of humanity, joy, pain, and hope. It reminds us of who we are, what we share, and what we have to offer.
Sounds that connect, comfort, and stir the soul. They draw from the legacy of artists like Nat King Cole, Ray Charles, and Marvin Gaye—and transform it into something contemporary, authentic, and vibrant.
At a time when many are asking who we are and who we want to be, this music reminds us of our shared ability to love, to feel, and to stand up for a better future.
A concert that shows: These songs aren’t a thing of the past—they’re here and now.
