A Taiwanese-American man living in New York has built a happy life with his American partner. To satisfy his traditional parents and help a Chinese woman obtain a green card, he agrees to a marriage of convenience.
Everything seems under control, until his parents unexpectedly arrive to celebrate the wedding.
Blending comedy, romance, and family drama, The Wedding Banquet explores themes of identity, tradition, cultural expectations, and love with warmth and humor.
