Guided walk in Westend in GERMAN
With a few more weeks of lovely weather to go, we would like to invite you to another guided walk, this time in Westend.
You might ask: what is there in Westend to see? Fair enough. Westend is not a typical tourist destination, but is a true gem and with its charming alleys and houses, as well as famous inhabitants, has a very interesting story to tell.
For more than Protected content Westend has been home to actors, composers, writers and scientists (Olga Chekhova, Robert Koch, Richard Strauss – just a few to name), whose work and talent have shaped the history not only of Germany, but also of the whole world.
In this walk we will learn how this area came to existence, where the name comes from, and lots of other interesting things about Westend of today and back a century ago.
As with the previous walk, I did this one myself, really enjoyed it and can totally recommend it.
A few words about our guide Julia: Julia has got a PhD in philosophy, she is insanely knowledgeable and fun! Please feel free to check out her blog and Instagram to get the fleur of her walks Protected content and Protected content ? … (both are in Russian, but pictures say more than a thousand words, don't they?)
Please note that this walk will be in German.
The walk will be 2 hours long, after that we can go for a drink somewhere in that area.
The walk costs 20€. Advance payment is required. I will send bank details to attendees.
