Essential Skills for Navigating Conflict

Conflict, you do not have to look far to see it. Conflict is present in our daily lives and how we respond to it determines our effectiveness, our integrity and our standing with others. Let’s face it; a world without conflict is not only unrealistic, but undesired.
Without conflict, we would lose creativity and innovation. Without conflict, we would be expected to conform and not grow. For all the negativity and fear of conflict, there are just as many positive benefits. Learning not to avoid conflict, but instead to embrace it and use it as a tool can make a world of difference.
This workshop is for those who meet some of the following criteria:·
You experience conflict in your professional life on a regular basis;·
You experience conflicts in your personal life;·
You are under stress and would like to know how to cope with it;·
You would like to improve the way you related to people;·
You try to avoid conflict as much as you can;·
You fear situations that are potentially conflictual;·
You apprehend any context that is emotionally charged.
During this session we will look at the nature of conflict which we experience throughout our lives, its global societal impact, the dimensions of conflict and the strategies to address this kind of situation.
Georges Melides is a certified practitioner in behavioral sciences and conflict management.
