Inspiration Corner: “The story of how I became an activist”

How do you react to the ongoing ecological crisis ?
No matter our background or experience: we all can feel the responsibility to act and do anything we can to avoid negative consequences on ourselves as well as on the future generations.
But how can we really contribute through our daily actions ?
Dr. Jérôme Guilet, researcher in astrophysics at CEA Saclay (France), will tell us the story of how the awareness of climate change led him to make a number of significative changes in his private life.
His journey toward activism and advocacy started 5 years ago and completely changed his point of view and his habitudes in different ways.
A development that brought him from being a shy person, mostly concerned with his research, to getting involved in activities and initiatives that aim to achieving a better world for all of us.
Jérôme is also a member of the movement “Scientist Rebellion” where numerous researchers and scientists engage non-violent actions to sensibilize and inform on issues and dangers of climate change.
