The Arabic drum solo is an extremely dynamic, vivacious and exciting part of a dancer's routine that can also be performed on its own. It is a duet between the dancer and a drummer. The dancer is expected to be focused on the drumming, interpreting with her body what the drummer plays with his hands.

There will be a selection of videos with drum solo performances.

This will be an ongoing series on importance of dance in culture and human relations. The focus of event is:

1. To appreciate the exquisite art of oriental dance.
2. To have a better understanding of the roots of this ancient dance through the ages.
3. To demystify the many misconceptions and myths about this dance.
4. To discuss why there is a level of taboo when it comes to this type of dance and what are the reasons behind it.
