World's Biggest Abandoned & Useless Mega Projects
A Megaproject is an extremely large-scale construction & investment project. A more general definition is “ Megaprojects are temporary endeavours projects characterised by large investment commitment, vast complexity especially in organisational terms & long-lasting impact on the economy, the environment, and society “.
Megaprojects refer not only to construction projects but also decommissioning projects, which are projects that can reach multi-billion dollar budgets, and have a high level of innovation/complexity & are affected by several technosocioeconomic/organizational challenges.
According to the European Cooperation in Science and Technology (COST), megaprojects are characterized both by “ Extreme complexity both in technical and human terms and by a long record of poor delivery “. Megaprojects attract significant public attention because of their substantial impacts on communities, the environment, and budgets, as well as the high costs involved. Megaprojects can also be defined as “ initiatives that are physical, very expensive, and public ”.
In this interactive series, my dear friend and Consul Gunsu will share with us a very pleasant, highly visualized & informative video(s) about the world's biggest abandoned & useless mega projects, then we will talk about our preferences and/or additional alternatives on the list with your valuable participation.
