Beyond Coffee With Suhail: Saying Yes to Life
Join us for a thoughtful online conversation inspired by Viktor E. Frankl’s book Yes to Life: In Spite of Everything.
Viktor E. Frankl is one of my favourite authors, and his writing has touched me deeply. Recently, I started reading this book again, and halfway through, its message inspired me to create this gathering.
The theme of this event is meaning, resilience, kindness, human decency, and the courage to keep moving forward through life’s difficult moments.
This event is not a personal story event, therapy session, relationship discussion, religious discussion, political debate, or casual small-talk gathering. There will be no breakout rooms.
We will begin with a short introduction round. Each member can share their name, where they are joining from, and a brief 30-second “Yes to Life” reflection.
The host will then share a short summary of his understanding from the book, followed by an open floor for participants to engage.
Reflection Questions:
1. How do we remain kind when life feels difficult?
2. What does human decency mean in challenging times?
3. How can we say yes to life without losing hope, dignity, or compassion?
Participation Guidelines:
1. Please keep comments under 3 minutes.
2. Respect different views.
3. Disrespectful comments, interruptions, or judgmental responses are not welcome.
Camera on is encouraged, NOT compulsory.
