Mawlid: Nasheed, Conversation & Social Connection

Join us for a relaxed cultural evening marking Mawlid, the traditional commemoration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

In the main room, we’ll listen to Nasheed (traditional devotional songs), discuss the cultural traditions surrounding Mawlid, and share thoughts and perspectives in an open, respectful conversation.

For those who prefer to socialise, breakout rooms will be available for informal conversations and getting to know other members.

A cultural and social evening open to everyone, regardless of faith or background. All are welcome.

A few simple ground rules:
• Camera ON is required.
• Be calm, respectful and open to different perspectives.
• No hostility toward any religion, culture or community.
• No misogyny, gender bashing, personal attacks, naming, targeting or shaming.
• Please keep the conversation focused on the event theme.
• Disruptive, deliberately off-topic, or disrespectful behaviour toward the event host or moderator may result in removal from the event.
• And No selling, cross-selling, or business pitching, please. We’re here to meet people and have a conversation, not meet your sales targets. 😉
