I Bet You're Wonderin How I Knew Bout Your Plans to Make Me Blue
Inspired by Marvin Gaye’s “I Heard It Through the Grapevine,” this discussion invites us to explore one of the most difficult questions in relationships: What actually counts as cheating?
Is cheating always about sexual intimacy? Or can it also involve emotional closeness, private online conversations, sexting, flirting, or developing an intimate connection with someone outside the relationship?
We’ll explore questions such as:
•What does cheating actually mean?
•When does a connection with someone else cross the boundary?
•Is emotional cheating as painful as physical infidelity?
•Are boundaries the same for everyone, or does every couple define them differently?
•Can trust be broken even when there has been no physical contact?
Sometimes, the hardest part is not discovering what happened. It is understanding where the boundary was and whether both people knew where it was.
This is a space for open and respectful conversation. You are welcome to share your own experiences, thoughts, and stories if you feel comfortable doing so. However, sharing an experience does not mean giving advice to another participant. Please be mindful of this!
