Afternoon Trip to Brühl and Visit of the Castles

Hey everyone,
Let's go on a short afternoon trip to Brühl near Bonn and visit the castles and the town.
With a combined ticket, we can explore the entire palace grounds, including Augustusburg Palace, Falkenlust Palace and the beautiful palace gardens. You can sometimes see the UNESCO World Heritage Site just by travelling through Brühl by train.
The Brühl palaces are considered to be the first important rococo creation in Germany and an outstanding example of a large 18th century princely residence. Built for the Cologne Elector and Archbishop Clemens August ( Protected content ) from the House of Wittelsbach, the entire ensemble still surprises today and takes you back to an age of courtly splendour full of glitz and glamour.
Since the beginning of this year's season, both palaces can also be visited on Sundays without a guided tour, so we can decide on the spot whether we want to join a guided tour (starts every 30 minutes or so in German) or go off on our own.
After visiting the castles and the garden, we could go further into the city and round off the day with a dinner. As the number of participants is limited to nine people for organisational reasons, please be fair and cancel if your plans change. In case of bad weather, the event may be postponed.
The nearest train station to the site is Brühl Bahnhof, and there is a car park right next to the station (Max-Ernst-Museum / Augustusburg car park). We meet in front of the station at the Max-Ernst-Allee exit.
