Exhibition - I Am Here
“I am here” invites us to explore the relationship with self-image, from the long tradition of self-portraiture to today’s digital practices. Through a journey that weaves together art, science and interactive installations, the exhibition probes the social, psychological and political dimensions of self-representation.
Narcissism, identity, media culture, and the visibility of women and minority groups are among the many themes addressed through works spanning the 19th century to the present, alongside new contemporary creations. Developed by the Université libre de Bruxelles in partnership with the City of Brussels, this exhibition offers a playful, thought-provoking and accessible experience for all.
