Early AUGUST – a CASH Biopic That’s Free!
Hi Karaoke Friends!
Something a little different this time, but music is up front and central.
We will have a little outing to an open-air film festival on the Vaud Coast for the screening of a biopic on the life of Johnny Cash – Walk The Line. A chronicle of country-music legend Johnny Cash's life.
Fun fact: Yes! Joaquin Phoenix actually did his own singing for the biopic. His performances were so authentic—capturing not just the sound, but also Cash's exact stage mannerisms and ticks—that even prominent critics initially thought he was lip-syncing.
The film will be in English with French subtitles.
Of course, this is weather dependent, as they will cancel in case of rain...
We will be on the grass, so remember to bring a blanket to sit on and anything else you need to be comfy on the ground. It is possible to rent a deck chair in advance, but you will have to make these arrangements.
There is a food stand that sells food and drinks, but we can also bring our own and make a picnic out of it. Up to you!
As per usual, bring your best InterNations togetherness spirit (you’re the best) and let’s chill together before, during and maybe after the film??
RSVP ASAP – don’t forget to click “YAY – I’m not missing this!”
