Sunday update: The weather looks good — a mix of sun and clouds, but no rain, so it should be excellent biking weather! 🚴☀️

We’ll cycle to Kikutstua via Kobberhaughytta (“hytta” means cabin), using an early shortcut rather than continuing south. See the attached route map.

The new bike path from Blankvannsbråtan to Kobberhaughytta is narrow, well maintained, and enjoyable, though it does not appear on every map.

The first leg to Kikutstua takes about 1.5 hours, including stops.

From Kikut, we’ll return via Bjørnholt and Nordmarkveien to the Hammeren car park and bus stop. We may also pause at scenic Kikut Teltplass, a spot worth visiting again.

The route starts with varied but gentle terrain and is mostly downhill on the return. It follows gravel roads, with the option of a short forest trail on the way back.

This isn’t a race—we’ll enjoy the scenery and take breaks for photos, food, and drinks.

The complete 35 km ride might take 3–4 hours.

Bring a mountain, touring, or electric bike — I’ll be riding an e-bike myself.
Bring a light lunch and a drink.
Kikutstua’s café serves food, drinks, coffee, and ice cream.

Meet at Hammeren car park by the bike trail sign shown in the photos.
Look for me in a yellow high-visibility cycling jacket at the meeting point.

Bus 51 stops 60 metres from the meeting point.
