Hike in the Hudson River Valley
Let's do a hike in the beautiful Hudson River Valley! The hike is about 7 miles (or a bit more if you add walking from the train station to the trailhead, and about Protected content elevation) and we will be hiking at a moderate pace, so while not an advanced hike, an intermediate fitness level is required.
Please dress according to weather, and keep in mind we might still have winter conditions so bring layers for cold weather and rain.
Required gear includes hiking boots, backpack, water, sufficient food for the day, weather appropriate clothing, gloves, hat. If you like hiking poles those may be useful, sunglasses and camera are good to bring.
I'm going to take the Metro-North Hudson LineProtected content
If you are driving please text me and we can discuss where and when to meet at the trailhead.
Since it's Easter, if anyone wants to bring some eggs or chocolate feel free to ;-)
Please note this will be my first time doing this particular hike so please be patient if we need to do some way finding and do your own research on the trail etc. The hike may be changed or cancelled in case of poor weather, snow storms etc.
There is no town in Garrison by the looks of it, so make sure you bring enough food and water for the day. We could grab a drink or bite together when we are back at Grand Central if people are interested.
