Built entirely from archival material, this documentary traces the life of Edward Said, the influential Palestinian intellectual, scholar, and advocate for Palestinian liberation and self-determination. Spanning seven decades and three cities, the film explores how a life shaped by exile informed his scholarship and advocacy.
More than two decades after Said’s death, the cause to which he devoted his life—a free Palestine—remains urgent, as does his insistence that Palestinians control how their own histories are told.
