Gallery Opening & Dinner: Roadside USA
For many people in the United States, the American dream of freedom and a better life seems to be fading. Slogans promising a return to past greatness — a hopeful vision for some, but seen by others as misleading and divisive — have deepened the fractures within American society. So what remains today of a country that for so long shaped the symbols of the Western way of life? Photographers Ute Behrend, Michael Dressel, Valentin Goppel, Jörg Rubbert and Josef Wolfgang Mayer trace the contours of an America in turbulent times, reflecting on these questions through their current works.
Also, we can go to dinner nearby afterwards and discuss the photos further.
