"Americanah" by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie book discussion
By popular demand I'm proposing the reading of the novel "Americanah" by the Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie for which she won Protected content . National Book Critics Circle Award for fiction.
"Americanah" tells the story of two Nigerians making their way in the U.S. and the UK, raising universal questions of race and belonging, the overseas experience for the African diaspora, and the search for identity and a home.
"'Americanah' examines blackness in America, Nigeria and Britain, but it's also a steady-handed dissection of the universal human experience—a platitude made fresh by the accuracy of Adichie's observations." Mike Peed, The New York Times
If you haven't read the book, you have enough time to buy it and read it.
If you have read it already, join the discussion in September.
The discussion will be on Zoom.
