Tour of Santiago's Museums and Palaces
We'll begin this tour of Santiago in the Plaza de Armas, Protected content .
We'll take a walk to the Palace of the Courts of Justice and the Palace of the Former National Congress of Chile. We'll see these two majestic buildings from the outside and then continue the route past the Chilean Museum of Pre-Columbian Art and the Palacio de la Moneda.
We'll continue the walk past the Larraín Palace. We'll admire its beautiful neo-Rococo and Art Nouveau architecture from the outside and then take the metro to the Paris-Londres neighborhood. After exploring it, we'll take a walk past three notable landmarks in this district: the Santiago Stock Exchange, the Ariztía Building, and the Church of San Francisco.
The next stop will be the Santiago Municipal Theater. Nearby is Santa Lucía Hill, one of the city's most historic landmarks. We'll discover why this place is so important and then head to Parque Forestal to admire the majestic façade of the National Museum of Fine Arts, which stands out for its striking Art Nouveau style.
Finally, after a tour of approximately two and a half hours, we'll conclude this free tour of Santiago in Lastarria, one of the most bohemian neighborhoods in the Chilean capital.
