Let's Welcome Spring on Baba Marta Day

Dear friends,
let's meet for dinner to celebrate the Baba Marta Day (March 1) The name of the holiday means "Grandma March" in Bulgarian and wearing of Martenitsi are a Bulgarian tradition related to welcoming the spring. Martenitsi are red and white woven threads symbolize the wish for good health and are are worn from the 1st March until the wearer first sees a stork, swallow, or blossoming tree.
