Exhibition Opening at the Deutsche Börse Photography Fodation

lets visit the Opening at the unic place: the Deutsche Börse Photograpy Fondaton,the opening of the exhibitions “Jamel Shabazz. New York Vibes” and “Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation Prize Protected content on Wednesday, 2 September Protected content 6.30 pm at The Cube, Eschborn.
Since the early Protected content , American photographer Jamel Shabazz (b. Protected content been documenting scenes of everyday life in his hometown of New York. During his walks through Manhattan, the Bronx, and Brooklyn, he took countless portraits that have become icons of their time. His photographs document the emergence of hip-hop culture, as well as the importance of friendship, family, and community. Featuring over 60 photographs, “Jamel Shabazz. New York Vibes” is the first exhibition in Germany to offer a comprehensive insight into Shabazz’s multifaceted perspectives on the lives of the predominantly African-American communities in New York during the Protected content and Protected content , which was characterised by both creative energy and self-determination, as well as marginalisation and social inequality.
In parallel, presenting the exhibition for the Deutsche Börse Photography Foundation Prize Protected content , which we award annually in collaboration with the Photographers’ Gallery in London.
