Exploring Ticino and Mesolcina (And Surprise Carnival?)

Anyone up for yet one more Ticinese weekend? There's so much going on that it makes sense to spend a 6th weekend in a row in Switzerland.
There's the choir that sings, to provide support to Ukraine, there's a bonus Carnival taking place in S.Vittore, there's the emptied James Bond dam and there's street art that received worldwide recognition.
The plan is to start on Saturday morning by hiking from Mendrisio to Maroggia. Last time we were there (for chestnuts) we discovered a very artistic town. Well, it turns out Maroggia was hosting a street art festival.
Let's then discover the rest of art installations, while having a walk in the nature. As we already did Bissone-Maroggia, this time we'll start from Mendrisio S.Martino and try trail #4 from Protected content
Hike is easy and should take slightly more than 2 hours, with Protected content elevation gain. Among highlights are wine cellars, lookout points over Lake Lugano and the pilgrimage church of S.Maria del Castello.
You may learn more about the art part on:
Protected content
If you would like to stay overnight, plan for Saturday afternoon is to visit the Verzasca dam and finish the day in Ascona, listening to the choir.
Plan for Sunday is to head to S.Vittore, visit its fortifications and the Carnival, before heading to Soazza and treading the cultural path that leads to Mesocco, while visiting its mighty castle ruins ( Protected content )
