Weekend Trip to Locarno/Carì, Before the Holidays
Given the warm weather, is anyone up for a refreshing Swiss weekend before summer holidays? There's the Locarno film festival and, once again, buying a movie ticket on Protected content will provide us with free transportation across the region. Of course, it's also possible to have the coveted transportation pass by staying at a hotel/hostel, so this can be either a day trip or a weekend trip, as you wish!
Saturday plan is to have a sightseeing walk in Locarno and perhaps watch a short film ( Protected content )
If there's some extra time, we might venture to Tenero to hike towards Contra or to Gordola to experience the path through Bolle di Magadino ( Protected content )
On Sunday we'll move to Faido, home to mighty waterfalls and rivers, picturesque woods and glaciers. Last year we went to the glacier and waterfalls above Dalpe, this time the plan is to go to the winter resort of Carì and try Protected content , possibly reaching the Carì lake (
