Weekend Trip to Chambéry
Anyone up for having a new trip to Chambery? Just like one year ago, the French capital of Savoy will host a vast cultural program that features dances from around the world. Last year's show, with Mexico, Slovakia and Taiwan, was so entertaining that we think it's worth returning: this year's guest groups will come from New Zealand, Costarica and USA (Idaho).
Plan then is to combine the festival with some sightseeing.
On Saturday, we can have an afternoon walk along the waterfall trail and on to Charmettes, following the footsteps of philosopher Rousseau. This will also allow us visit the country house, where Rousseau spent most of his time (between Protected content Protected content , with benefactress Madame de Warens, as well as enjoy its botanical garden and the special exhibit on George Sand.

Walk should take about 3 hours and is rated as easy.
On Sunday we'll head to Aix Les Bains and have a hike along the shore of Lake Bourget.
