Cycling to Wassenaar for Sunday Morning Coffee

A relaxed bike ride of around 26 kilometers in total that can be done on any bike. A few gears are certainly helpful for the two short climbs up a dune.

We meet next to the pavilion on the Malieveld at Koekampweg and then cycle through the Haagse Bos towards Wassenaar. At the border between The Hague and Wassenaar, we pick up the Landgoederen route, a cycle path through what were formerly the gardens of the many country houses on the way to the village of Wassenaar.

We cycle for about an hour to the center around the Rijnsburgspassage, Langstraat, and Van Hogendorpstraat, where we have a choice of various cafés and terraces for a coffee, drink, and/or snack.

From the center of Wassenaar, we then cycle towards the beach and take the path through the dunes back to The Hague, where we arrive at the Scheveningen water tower. There, we can perhaps enjoy an ice cream or a drink before everyone chooses their fastest way home from there or cycles back with me to the starting point of the route.

The ending time may be a bit later depending on the time we spend for coffee and drinks.
