Medium/Difficult Hike (1250Hm) to Schafreuter and Tölzer Hütte

The weather forecast looks very promising for next Tuesday.

Let’s enjoy a challenging tour to the Schafreuter (Scharfreiter) at the border between Bavaria/Tirol in the Vorkarwendel mountains. It can be reached in approx. 1.5 hrs from Munich by car.

The tour starts from the parking Protected content in the beautiful Rißtal valley. At the Kälbereck ( Protected content ) we decide to continue to the Schafreuter ( Protected content ) or the direct path to the Tölzer Hütte ( Protected content ) where we stop for lunch. Delpsjoch ( Protected content ) nearby is optional before we go down to the Rißtal valley. We follow the long distance trail Munich-Venice along the river before returning to the starting point.
