Jazz Contreband Festival - Shems Bendali Quintet
Let's meet for one of the first jazz evenings of the Contreband Festival.
The concert starts at 21:00 so let's meet 30 minutes earlier for a drink and a prime seat. I'll have an InterNations banner.
The Franco-Algerian trumpeter, at the crossroads of two cultures, brings a unique freshness to contemporary jazz by incorporating some Eastern inspirations. His Quintet is composed of exciting young musicians on the new Swiss jazz scene.
The artist has forged a dual identity: his compositions are both a tribute to his roots and a testament to his love for African-American music.
