A Special Phygital Event: The Magnificent Textile

Prato Phygital is an innovative project dedicated to the applications of 5G technology in the Audiovisual sector.
The high-speed transmission of video files through 5G allows the entire manufacturing world to conduct live simulations and demonstrations remotely, opening up new and previously unimaginable communicative and commercial prospects.
On Tuesday, an event of special importance will be reserved for the Institutions and the press. During the event, a mockup of a virtual film set will be set up, combining live-action and digital objects such as fabrics from the Marini archive and the Textile Museum, along with headdresses and costume prototypes from the TV series "I Medici".
A short film titled "Il Magnifico Tessuto" will be created using these elements. The virtual set design will also include some historical buildings and landscapes of Tuscany.
Following the morning demonstration, at 6:30 pm, there will be a presentation of the "Prato Phygital" project to the public and a screening of the short movie “The Magnificent Textile” realized in the morning in the real-time mock-up theatre.
Later on, we will follow a virtual tour of the set.
The event will conclude with a final aperitif for all those who attended the presentation.
