New emerging global nomad and suitable acc. (Amsterdam)
It’s time for a new kind of hotel
Are you looking for an affordable, but pleasant and well located accommodation for medium and long-term stays? Would you like to have a fully equipped living and working space? Would you like to meet - and mingle - with other people and explore the local vernacular. Then Zoku (working title) might be the thing for you. Please read on.
Zoku: accommodating the Modern Nomadic Lifestyle
HotelsAhead, the initial creator of the award-wining modular hotel concept CitizenM, is now developing another revolutionary hotel concept: Zoku. Zoku is geared to business travellers and expats staying abroad between five days and three months. The research that we have done over the last two years indicates that the traditional expat is disappearing. Instead, we see an emerging mobile workforce of individuals: project managers, management consultants, free movers, senior management etc., working abroad on assignments for a few weeks or months.
To get Zoku exactly right we want to develop it in collaboration with our future guests. That’s probably you. By completing the following questionnaire you’ll help us create a place where you would love to stay. But you also have a chance of winning a free weekend for two at a great Dutch hotel in the beautiful coastal area of Bergen (NH).
The statements cover the following topics:
• Our extensive research of the market shows that an emerging mobile lifestyle is giving rise to a new generation of expats and business travellers. Does this match what you are experiencing around you?
• Existing accommodation does not match the lifestyle of this new mobile workforce. The apartment market is both nontransparent and inflexible. And hotels aren’t designed to facilitate extended stays, nor do they offer ideal working locations. What’s your opinion on these two different types of accommodation?
• Our ambition is to create a solution for the modern (extended-stay) business traveller looking for affordable accommodation. The concept offers fully furnished, stylish, smart and efficient apartments made for living and working. Your opinion about this proposition is highly valued as our success will depend on your input.
• We are aiming to offer this new kind of apartment for a price range between 65 and 95 euro’s per night, depending on the length of stay. This will include housekeeping, typical extended stay services, wireless internet, dedicated staff, the use of the hotel’s social areas and much more (we want to keep a few surprises). Would this price appeal to you?
Completing the questionnaire will take about five minutes and gives you a unique chance to participate in the development of a new concept that is based on what you think is really important.
If you have any questions or remarks regarding the concept or the questionnaire, please let us know at Protected content . You’ll find more information about the Zoku story on our weblog: joinzoku.wordpress.com.
