InterNations — A Community for American Expats in the Bahamas

Hello to all Americans in the Bahamas! Are you interested in getting to know fellow expats in the Bahamas? Looking for advice from other Americans, e.g. wondering if there are any bars in the Bahamas which will be showing your favorite baseball or American football team’s upcoming match or where to go in town for st■ turkey?

There’s no doubt about it: the Bahamas offer a chance for expats to enjoy the relaxed island life. The popular vacation spot is a tropical city known for its scenic beauty, year-round tropical weather, diving havens, and much more! With the ferries, water taxis, bus services, and road links, navigating your way around the city from one place to the next is simple. This also means that if you don’t want to live among the hustle and bustle of the center, you can enjoy a quieter life in the smaller islands, which are just a short ferry ride away from the Bahamas’s center.

Although the Bahamas have lots to offer, you might be wondering where and how you can meet other Americans. Luckily, InterNations is here to make this easier for you! You’re warmly invited to join the InterNations community. Within our international network in the Bahamas, there’s a vibrant circle of American expats from all regions of USA, including New York City, Los Angeles, and beyond.

Living on the Bahamas may sound like a holiday dream, but working here long term is something different. InterNations got me in touch with people who know what I am talking about.
