InterNations — A Community for American Expats in Gothenburg

Hello to all Americans in Gothenburg! Are you interested in getting to know fellow expats in Gothenburg? Looking for advice from other Americans, e.g. wondering if there are any bars in Gothenburg which will be showing your favorite baseball or American football team’s upcoming match or where to go in town for st■ turkey?

There’s no doubt about it: Gothenburg’s history in (sea) trade and industry have left a lasting impression. The second-largest Swedish city is a surprisingly hip city known for its large port and general waterfront life, two universities, many green spaces, and much more! With the public transportation system including ferries, buses, and tram lines, as well as the extensive network of bicycle routes, navigating your way around the city from one place to the next is simple. This also means that if you don’t want to live among the hustle and bustle of the center, you can enjoy a quieter life in the suburbs such as Angere or Biskopsgården, which are less than half an hour away from Gothenburg’s center.

Although Gothenburg has lots to offer, you might be wondering where and how you can meet other Americans in the city. Luckily, InterNations is here to make this easier for you! You’re warmly invited to join the InterNations community. Within our international network in Gothenburg, there’s a vibrant circle of American expats from all regions of USA, including New York City, Los Angeles, and beyond.
