Bryant Zhuhai seeks invites applications for an Instructor in Economics. Contracts for instructors are for one year beginning September 1, Protected content , and may be renewed. The academic year in Zhuhai runs from early September to July and includes a winter break.
Bryant Zhuhai is a 4 year academic program developed in partnership between Bryant University in Smithfield, RI and the Beijing Institute of Technology, Zhuhai (BITZH). Bryant Zhuhai will begin its second academic year in September, Protected content will serve approximately Protected content , business students.
Guangdong Province, the site of Bryant Zhuhai, is located in Southern China and is a very important area for China’s economy, providing 10 percent of China’s total GDP and the location for many of China’s innovative manufacturing operations. A 32-mile-long bridge is under construction; when completed in Protected content will be Hong Kong's first connection to mainland China and will link Hong Kong to Zhuhai and Macau.
This position includes teaching undergraduate courses including but not limited to micro and macro survey courses as well as contributing to student growth and development through active involvement in student related activities.
Minimum of a Master’s level degree in Economics or a closely related field from an Anglophone institution required; Ph.D. preferred. Experience with post-secondary teaching in a multi-lingual environment a real plus. All instruction is to be in English, but the ability to support Chinese students who are advanced English Language Learners is a plus.
Salary is competitive to Zhuhai educational market. Benefits include a travel allowance and health care benefits.
