InterNations — A Community for American Expats in Kuala Lumpur

Hello to all Americans in Kuala Lumpur! Are you interested in getting to know fellow expats in Kuala Lumpur? Looking for advice from other Americans, e.g. wondering if there are any bars in Kuala Lumpur which will be showing your favorite baseball or American football team’s upcoming match or where to go in town for st■ turkey?

There’s no doubt about it: Kuala Lumpur has a lot to offer for expats. The Malaysian capital is a large, global city known for being the cultural, financial, and economic center of Malaysia, home to the Parliament of Malaysia and the official residence of the Malaysian King, and much more! With the comprehensive road system and range of public transportation options, such as buses as well as light rail transit, rapid transit, monorail, and commuter rail services, navigating your way around the city from one place to the next is simple. This also means that if you don’t want to live among the hustle and bustle of the center, you can enjoy a quieter life in Bangsar or Desa Sri Hartamas, for example, which are both approximately a 15-minute journey away from Kuala Lumpur’s center.

Although Kuala Lumpur has lots to offer, you might be wondering where and how you can meet other Americans in the city. Luckily, InterNations is here to make this easier for you! You’re warmly invited to join the InterNations community. Within our international network in Kuala Lumpur, there’s a vibrant circle of American expats from all regions of USA, including New York City, Los Angeles, and beyond.
