Reservations Manager (Malta)
A Reservations Manager is needed for a new company in Malta.
Our client is a new and exciting booking engine/travel agency in Malta.
The Reservations Manager will be reporting to the Director. Duties included but are not limited to: developing strategies to hit or exceed sales targets; promoting and marketing the business, sometimes to new or niche markets; managing budgets and maintaining statistical/financial records; selling travel products and tour packages; sourcing products and destinations to meet consumer demands for bespoke travel and sustainable tourism; liaising with travel partners, including airlines and hotels, managing bookings and schedules; dealing with customer enquiries and working towards meeting their expectations; overseeing the smooth, efficient running of the business; constantly motivating the sales team to hit their targets and ensure company profitability; liaising with company Director for advise on strategy and finding out about any local issues and future trends; overseeing the recruitment, selection and retention of staff as well as staff training; communicating with reservation consultants and providing encouragement, help and advice whilst also dealing with disciplinary matters and customer complaints.
This position calls for a hard-working, driven, dedicated and flexible individual with the ability to work on own initiative as well as to manage a team. Strong and clear communication skills with an excellent telephone manner together with excellent organisation skills are a must for this position. Applicants must be computer literate whilst proficiency in written and spoken English is required.
