The Program in Health Disparities Research (PHDR) is dedicated to eliminating health inequities. PHDR is driven to improve health for all through research, education and community engagement. We understand that improving health for all is a true team effort. Therefore, we are committed to conducting cutting-edge research in partnership with our local communities. The work of our research and community partners contributes to advances in disparities research related to: cancer, cardiovascular diseases in women, diabetes, and infectious disease. In addition to research focused projects, PHDR sponsors a variety of community initiatives, such as the Clipper Clinic, health disparities pilot grant program, Community Dialogue Series, Community Research Institute, and formation of the community Institutional Review Board.
PHDR is seeking nominations for its newly restructured Advisory Board. The Advisory Board will consist of University of Minnesota members and community partners that will help PHDR achieve its mission of eliminating health inequities.
