Private bedroom overlooking Montreal's Tam Tams (Montréal)
This is a private room vacation rental in a shared apartment. There would be a maximum of 2 other persons in their own rooms sharing the general space with you.
This perfectly amazing bedroom overlooks the weekly Sunday Montreal Parc Jeanne Mance fields and of course the TamTams, a Sunday Montreal ritual of gathering near the angel statue to drum & dance, picnic and enjoy the beauty and nature of Mount Royal park. Panoramic views from the top after a brisk walk or run through this dense inner city forest.
A great way to start or end your day with an invigorating yet peaceful walk. Also a popular picnic spot, you could walk to Beaver lake located about 15 minutes past the beautiful Chateau and panoramic view point. This park was originally designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, the same architect who designed Central Park, (also in Boston) and has seen grown to include more statues, pavillions, and wonderful hiking paths. This Protected content park boosts Montreal’s highest peak and is right at your front door with the crucifix on the top !
The Plateau is famous for funky vintage shops, amazingly varied restaurants at affordable prices, street art, galleries, bars and clubs, quaint cafes and local artist boutiques.
Super convenient public transit Protected content that goes into the Old Port, the 80 bus that gets you downtown into Quartier des Spectacles (Place des Arts metro), other buses that go East if you need, as well as another bus that goes over the mountain to Beaver Lake, etc. The closest metro is Mount Royal station. If you have a car, there is free parking on St. Urbain (public).
We have availability at our bedrooms if you are visiting for any of the major Montreal festivals, conferences and events.
Drink wine purchased from the SAQ around the corner on the front yards picnic table while the sun shines on your breakfast.
We can host you for Jazzfest, Grandprix, Comedy Festival, Sketch Comedy Festival, Fringe Festival Beer Festival, Les FrancoFolies, Montreal Grand Prix, International fireworks competition, Fête nationale, FIMA, Canada Day, Dragon Boat Race Festival, Gay and Lesbian Pride, Osheaga, Tennis tournament, children’s summer vacation days.
In February, celebrate the Rendez-vous du cinéma québécois, Festival Nouvelles Musiques, Festival Montréal en Lumière aka High Lights Festival – ends with the Nuit Blanche. Lest we never forget the annual Saint Patrick’s Day parade that impresses the masses of blended green adornments along Sherbrooke Street a few minutes walk away.
Upto 2 guests will obviously enjoy the comfort of a private bedroom, however if you need to have more people, they will need to stay on the comfortable air mattress in the public living room.
