Getting an apartment (Munich)

Hi guys,

I'm new here! I just accepted a job in Munich and I have two months to get an apartment and move (as I'll start at 1/10). This is my first expat experience and, obviously, I don't have any experience in getting an apartment in Munich. I could really use your help!

Could you please tell me about the dos and the donts? Are there any agencies which can help me finding a (temporary) apartment? What websites are best to be used? What does provision means in the German context of the word? Any other advice?
