Drama English Teacher in Shanghai

Location: primary school or middle school in Shanghai
starting: August 1st.2019

Teaching hours : 10 classes Protected content / week
Monday- Friday, two days off on the weekend
provide working visa
salary: negotiable

Qualifications and Requirements:
1.Bachelor’s degree or higher (Economics /Business/Accounting/History/Geography major required)
2.English as the native language
3.TEFL/TESOL Protected content certification minimum (CELTA/DELTA/PGCE/QTS preferred)
4.Have an understanding and ability to teach pupils of all abilities
5.Two years at least of teaching experience (previous experience in an international school preferred)
6.Must be able to obtain a cleared background check

Performance Responsibilities:
•To undertake a designated program of teaching Drama
•Prepare and consistently deliver high-quality lessons.
•Be a role model for students, inspiring them to be actively interested in Drama
•Prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, handouts, and examinations.
•Evaluate and grade students' class work, assignments, and papers.
•Keep abreast of developments in their field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences.
•Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records.
•Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions.
•Maintain regularly scheduled office hours in order to advise and assist students.
•Evaluate and grade students' class work, assignments, and papers.
•Respect, appreciate and understand differences in learning and school culture.
•Participate in a culture of professional learning.
•Be accountable and a positive advocate for all management decisions.
•Attend staff meetings, teacher workdays and recommended professional development activities.
•Perform additional duties as assigned by the Principal or Head of Department.
