Located in south-west England, Southport is a seaside town which is known as ‘the Sandgrounder’ because of its location on the coast as well as the many sand dunes which are located in the area. The town has a long history with some evidence of Viking and Roman activity and is now one of the most popular seaside towns in the UK.
