InterNations — A Community for American Expats in Strasbourg

Hello to all Americans in Strasbourg! Are you interested in getting to know fellow expats in Strasbourg? Looking for advice from other Americans, e.g. wondering if there are any bars in Strasbourg which will be showing your favorite baseball or American football team’s upcoming match or where to go in town for st■ turkey?

There’s no doubt about it: Strasbourg is fascinating with a combination of the medieval with the contemporary and modern. The capital of the Grand Est region is a border city known for being home to numerous EU institutions, its historic city center (a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1988), its role as a center of humanism with excellent institutions of higher education, the large port on the Rhine River, and much more! With the extensive cycle network as well as efficient tram and bus services, navigating your way around the city from one place to the next is simple. This also means that if you don’t want to live among the hustle and bustle of the center, you can enjoy a quieter life in its outer districts or suburbs, which are an easy commute away from Strasbourg’s center.

Although Strasbourg has lots to offer, you might be wondering where and how you can meet other Americans in the city. Luckily, InterNations is here to make this easier for you! You’re warmly invited to join the InterNations community. Within our international network in Strasbourg, there’s a vibrant circle of American expats from all regions of USA, including New York City, Los Angeles, and beyond.
