InterNations — A Community for American Expats in Lyon

Hello to all Americans in Lyon! Are you interested in getting to know fellow expats in Lyon? Looking for advice from other Americans, e.g. wondering if there are any bars in Lyon which will be showing your favorite baseball or American football team’s upcoming match or where to go in town for st■ turkey?

There’s no doubt about it: Lyon is a French city rich in both history and culture. The UNESCO World Heritage Site is a historical city known for its architectural landmarks, reputation as the capital of gastronomy in France, significant role in the history of cinema, and much more! With the public transit system, consisting of the metro, tramways, and buses, navigating your way around the city from one place to the next is simple. This also means that if you don’t want to live among the hustle and bustle of the center, you can enjoy a quieter life in Saint-Fons or Saint-Germain-au-Mont-d'Or, for example, which are both less than a 30-minute public transportation journey away from Lyon’s center.

Although Lyon has lots to offer, you might be wondering where and how you can meet other Americans in the city. Luckily, InterNations is here to make this easier for you! You’re warmly invited to join the InterNations community. Within our international network in Lyon, there’s a vibrant circle of American expats from all regions of USA, including New York City, Los Angeles, and beyond.
