InterNations — A Community for American Expats in Taipei

Hello to all Americans in Taipei! Are you interested in getting to know fellow expats in Taipei? Looking for advice from other Americans, e.g. wondering if there are any bars in Taipei which will be showing your favorite baseball or American football team’s upcoming match or where to go in town for st■ turkey?

There’s no doubt about it: life in Taipei might take some getting used to, but it will be well worth it. The capital of Taiwan is a very people-friendly city known for a number of famous architectural landmarks such as the Taipei 101 tower, its several night markets, a popular food scene, its beautiful natural surroundings, and much more! With the ever-expanding public transportation network serviced by MRT trains and city buses, navigating your way around the city from one place to the next is simple. This also means that if you don’t want to live among the hustle and bustle of the center, you can enjoy a quieter life in outer districts such as Neihu or Songshan, which are — depending on your exact address — sometimes a bit of a commute away from Taipei’s center.

Although Taipei has lots to offer, you might be wondering where and how you can meet other Americans in the city. Luckily, InterNations is here to make this easier for you! You’re warmly invited to join the InterNations community. Within our international network in Taipei, there’s a vibrant circle of American expats from all regions of USA, including New York City, Los Angeles, and beyond.
